Position: Managing Director, Christian ChildCare Center

Functional Purpose:

To manage the systems, policy, services/programs/practice, legal and professional requirements, planning and financial aspects of the Christian childcare center infrastructure as it relates to church, staff, families and community.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of State of Michigan Licensing requirements for operation of a childcare center.

2. Knowledge of early child development

3. Ability to meet holistic curriculum needs in a Christian Child Care Center.

4. Ability to lead, manage and oversee the developmental needs a small teaching staff (8-10).

5. Ability to develop, manage and maintain a budget.

6. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

7. Ability to analyze and make mature, ethical decisions.

8. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.

Applicant Requirements:

1. Must have a personal experience in the Christian Faith

2. Must have good people skills

3. A minimum of two years experience working in a child care setting.

4. Successful completion of post-secondary training in Early Childhood Education.

5. Professional developmental training in administrative skills, supervisory skills, fiscal and budgetary management and operations planning.
